Zimbabwe (ZIM) and Ireland (IRE) are set to have their battle in the decisive third and final ODI of their series, at the iconic Harare Sports Club in Harare, on Tuesday, February 18. The current white-ball series follows a one-off Test match, with both teams equalling a win in the ODIs, making this fixture a highly anticipated one.  

Zimbabwe secured a credible 49-run victory in the opening match, which led them to successfully outplay their 300-run total. Brian Bennett played an astounding knock of 169 runs, while Blessing Muzarabani’s four-wicket haul destroyed  Ireland’s batting lineup. However, Ireland made a strong comeback in the second ODI, chasing down the 246-run target of the Chevrons, with six wickets in hand.

Consequently, Ireland’s calculated chase in 48.4 overs, brought the series in level. With the series finely stunned at 1-1, both teams will be eager to edge out each other in a bid to claim the title in what promises to be an exciting face-off.

The Harare Sports Club pitch holds a balanced condition for both batters and bowlers. The new ball might tend to move and bounce a little more which could be a little tricky for the batters.
