Gujarat vs Kerala, Semi-final 1, Ahmedabad
On Day 4 of the ongoing knockout phase of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25, Gujarat resumed their batting on 222/1 while trailing against a big total of 457. Manan Hingrajia was the first wicket to fall as he departed after scoring 33 off 127. After a brilliant 148-run knock off 237 balls, Priyank Panchal walked back. Thereafter, the batting order collapsed with no substantial contributions. Jaymeet Patel and Siddharth Desai put up an unbeaten 72-run stand for the eighth wicket. While Jaymeet remained unbeaten on 74*, Desai will commence batting on 24*. Despite small contributions in the middle, Gujarat still trail by 28 runs.

Vidarbha vs Mumbai, Semi-final 2, Nagpur
Vidarbha resumed Day 4 on 147/4, with Yash Rathod and Akshay Wadkar occupying the crease. Their 158-run stand for the fifth wicket came to an end as Wadkar walked back on the score of 52 runs. Rathod had no support from the other end and batters could not resist the questions posed by Mumbai bowlers. The only sensible stand came when he batted along with Parth Rekhade and put up 34 runs for the eighth wicket.

Rathod was the last man to get dismissed and he contributed with a significant 151 runs, as Vidarbha were bundled up for 292 runs with 405 runs as the lead. Mumbai’s second innings took a blow as early wickets made them lose momentum from the start and they found themselves at 65/3. Their opener, Akash Anand dug his base and found a good batting partner in the form of Shivam Dube. The duo remained unbeaten on 27* and 12* runs respectively, as Mumbai put 83/3 on the board in their second innings at stumps. The side is chasing a huge target of 406 runs and they currently need another 323 runs to win the match.
