Out of the eight Vitality T20 Blast 2024 matches scheduled for Friday, July 12, one was abandoned due to rain as Lancashire and Yorkshire split points. Some of the matches went down to the wire while others were lopsided affairs.

In the North Group, Durham pulled off a comprehensive 30-run win against Nottinghamshire as Callum Parkinson starred with figures of 3/15 in four overs. Meanwhile, Leicestershire registered a thrilling three-wicket win against Northamptonshire on the back of James Neesham's swashbuckling half-century. In a rain-curtailed encounter, Worcestershire annihilated Warwickshire, winning the 17-over per side contest by 55 runs. Matthew Waite, who bagged a five-for in the last game, continued his good run of form, as he finished with figures of 4/29 after hitting an unbeaten 8-ball 36 with the bat. Unfortunately, the Lancashire versus Yorkshire clash was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain.

Meanwhile, in the South Group, Middlesex notched up a six-wicket win in a rain-curtailed 10-over per side fixture, with Luke Hollman picking up four wickets in his two-over spell. Sussex, on the other hand, registered a comfortable 88-run victory against Kent after Tom Aslop and John Simpson sizzled with belligerent fifties and James Coles bagged a four-for. In another clash, Somerset got the better of Surrey by six wickets as Tom Kohler-Cadmore's half-century orchestrated the win. The most nerve-wracking encounter of the day saw Hampshire beating Gloucestershire off the last ball, chasing down a 177-run target with five wickets to spare. Benny Howell was the star performer as he put on an all-round show in Southampton.
