It was a historic day for Australian cricket in general as Ellyse Perry, along with key contributions from Georgia Voll and Annabel Sutherland, contributed to their side clinching the series against India Women with one game to spare. Perry surged her way to a 75-ball 105-run knock as her side ultimately won the game by a whopping 122 runs.

During her knock, the seasoned campaigner broke a host of personal records. The 72-ball ton which Perry brought up is the fastest for any batter in an ODI against India Women. The previous record was held by Marizanne Kapp (85 balls). She also became the first cricketer in the women's game to register the double of registering 7,000 runs and bagging 300 wickets. As of the conclusion of the game, she has 7,080 runs and 330 wickets to her credit.

The third milestone she made her own was the total tally of sixes in women's ODIs by an Australian. She successfully surpassed Meg Lanning to account for 42 maximums in totality. Another elusive list which Perry climbed was the one in which she became just the fourth Australian woman to complete 4,000 runs in W-ODIs. Belinda Clark tops the list with 4,844 runs.

Coming to the match, apart from her, promising prodigy, Georgia Voll, was the other standout performer in the innings for Australia Women. The duo of Perry and Voll battered a listless Indian outfit to register a whopping 371 on the board. Notably, 371 was the highest total conceded by India Women in the 315 ODIs they have featured in up until now.

Coming to the run-chase, no one apart from Richa Ghosh scored a half-century as Jemimah Rodrigues and debutant, Minnu Mani, scored 43 and 46*, respectively. Sutherland ended up with a four-wicket haul to wrap up a dominating victory for the hosts at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane.
