Australia (AUS) and New Zealand (NZ) will take on each other in the 27th match of the ongoing 2023 World Cup on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.

Australia head into the contest after three consecutive wins. In their last match against the Netherlands, they batted first and posted 399/8 in 50 overs, thanks to centuries from David Warner (104) and Glenn Maxwell (106), as well as contributions from Steven Smith (71) and Marnus Labuschagne (62). In defending their total, they bowled out the Netherlands for 90 runs, with Adam Zampa picking up four wickets and Mitchell Marsh taking two. Australia won by 309 runs. They have now won three of their five matches and are currently in fourth place in the points table with a net run rate of 1.142. 

New Zealand come into the contest after losing to India by four wickets in their previous match. In that game, they batted first, and Daryl Mitchell scored a century (130), while Rachin Ravindra (75) helped them post 273 in 50 overs. In defence, Lockie Ferguson picked up two wickets, while Trent Boult, Matt Henry, and Mitchell Santner each took one. However, this was not enough to prevent India from winning the match. New Zealand have won four of their five matches and are currently in second place in the points table with a net run rate of 2.370. The upcoming match between Australia and New Zealand is shaping up to be a thrilling contest. Both teams are evenly matched and have the potential to win
