India will kick off their Champions Trophy campaign against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Stadium, aiming to clinch their first global ODI title in 11 years.

All of India's matches in the Champions Trophy will be held in Dubai owing to India's refusal to travel to Pakistan for the tournament. India have a recent form on their side having beat England in an ODI series at home just before the tournament.

Bangladesh on the other hand have endured a torrid time in the format. They lost their last two series - against West Indies away and against Afghanistan in the UAE - and have not played any ODIs in 2025. Across the two series mentioned above, Bangladesh won only one match and lost five.

The conditions in Dubai will most likely benefit India. Even historically, India have enjoyed success in Dubai, not having lost any of their ODIs there during an unbeaten run to the ODI Asia Cup title in 2018.
