DP World ILT20 2025, Final - DC vs DV: Stats preview of players' records and approaching milestones

Franchise Dubai Capitals (DC) will take on Desert Vipers (DV) in the grand DP World ILT20 2025 final. Notably, both sides had earlier clashed during the Qualifier game. 

DC won Qualifier 1 to secure automatic qualification for the final while table-toppers DV had to take a longer route after losing Qualifier 1. To reach the summit clash, they managed to beat Sharjah Warriorz in Qualifier 2 of the tournament. In the first Qualifier, Alex Hales's quickfire 67 with support from other batters took DV to a respectable total.

The game hung in the balance for most of the chase, but Gulbadin Naib put up a strong all-round performance to bring the equation down to one run needed off the last ball. But Sikandar Raza showed his composure and promptly hit the match-winning four to seal a memorable victory for his side.

Conversely, Desert Vipers had a much easier time against Sharjah Warriorz in the second Qualifier. A David Payne-led bowling performance helped DV negate Jason Roy's best efforts to keep the target within reach. Alex Hales then made the perfect start which was carried forward by all other batters and ended rather swiftly by DV skipper Sam Curran. 

Despite finishing on top of the points table, Desert Vipers will be concerned that Dubai Capitals have managed to come up trumps in all three matches that the two teams have played in so far. Both league stage matches played out similarly where DV batted first and put up an under-par total that DC had little to no trouble chasing down. A different concern for DV will be Gulbadin Naib who has scored fifties in all three matches between the sides.
