DP World ILT20 2025, Qualifier 1 - DV vs DC: Stats preview of players' records and approaching milestones
The winner of the qualifier will find themselves in the final.
Desert Vipers (DV) and Dubai Capitals (DC), the two teams at the top of the league stage points table will now face off in the Qualifier 1 for a place in the final of DP World ILT20 2025.
The two teams faced off in the very last league stage match where DC claimed an easy victory to put themselves in the first qualifier rather than in the eliminator. DV had gotten a decent start, but Qais Ahmad struck in the middle overs to fully wreck the innings and stop them in their tracks. Unbeaten fifties from Shai Hope and Gulbadin Naib then made sure that DC chased down the target with nine wickets in hand.
Desert Vipers will have cause for worry considering that they had gone down to Dubai Capitals in their other league stage game as well. The story was similar as a united team bowling effort kept DV tied down to an under-par total. DC suffered an early collapse but made their way back as an unbeaten fifty from Gulbadin Naib took DC home.
