Game 45 of the ongoing cricket carnival, the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), will see Gujarat Titans (GT) host Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who are currently in last place. RCB have managed only two wins in nine matches while GT have played one match less, but have twice the number of wins and hence, points as RCB.
Gujarat Titans in their last match suffered a loss to the Delhi Capitals at Delhi, despite impressive performances from B Sai Sudharsan and David Miller. They fell short by just 4 runs, managing a total of 220 runs in response to Delhi's 224, a total bolstered by Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel.

On the other hand, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who have been struggling with a six-match losing streak, managed to bounce back with a surprising victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Hyderabad. Rajat Patidar and Virat Kohli played crucial roles in their batting, supported by a cameo from Cameron Green, as they set a target of 206 runs and probably would have had more if not for Jaydev Unadkat's impressive show with the ball. RCB's bowlers, led by Swapnil Singh and Karn Sharma, then stepped up and secured a convincing 35-run victory for their team.
