ILT20 2025: ADKR vs SW, Match 6 - Stats preview of players' records and approaching milestones

Match 6 of International League T20 (ILT20) 2025 will see Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) square off against Sharjah Warriorz (SW) on Wednesday, January 15 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Both teams have had contrasting fortunes so far, with the Knight Riders losing their opening fixture in the game against the Desert Vipers. The team from Sharjah, on the other hand, had a winning start by beating Gulf Giants in their opening match of the third edition of the tournament.

The Andre Russell-led side went down rather comprehensively to Desert Vipers. Phil Salt and Russell made a strong showing with the bat, but their total of 165 was eventually too small as Dan Lawrence and Sam Curran's fifties took the Vipers home comfortably with seven wickets and eight balls to spare.

Sharjah Warriorz though, beat Gulf Giants in a last-ball thriller. Faced with a tricky 174 to chase, Tom Kohler-Cadmore carried the innings on his back amidst a collapse. He put up 105 with Rohan Mustafa but the latter's dismissal sparked another collapse until Kohler-Cadmore took charge of the situation in the end overs with the equation eventually down to 8 runs needed off 3 balls. Kohler-Cadmore hit the next ball for six and then ran the remaining two off the very last ball of the match to hand-deliver a thriller victory.

Currently, the Abu Dhabi-based team is placed last on the ILT20 2025 Points Table, while the Sharjah Warriorz are the third-placed side with two points to their name. As a result, the Knight Riders will want to open their winning account, whereas, Warriorz would want to continue their winning momentum.
