ILT20 2025: MIE vs DC, Match 4 - Stats preview of players' records and approaching milestones

The thrilling T20 cricket extravaganza ILT20 2025 (International League T20) league is already underway and the upcoming fixture can be dubbed as a likely rematch of the season opener, MI Emirates (MIE)  and Dubai Capitals (DC) will once again lock horns with each other. The two teams played out a thriller to get the season rolling with Capitals coming out on top by just one run. Notably, the game will be played at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, on Monday, January 13.

Brandon McMullen made a fifty, but on a difficult surface, Fazalhaq Farooqi's fifer restricted Capitals in their tracks to just 133. Emirates were also similarly in trouble at 23/4, but skipper Nicholas Pooran's fighting 61 brought MIE back into the chase. But there was one final twist in the tale as Gulbadin Naib struck thrice in the last few overs to bring the Capitals back in the game.

The equation eventually slipped down to 13 runs needed from the last over with Farhan Khan bowling to Kieron Pollard. Khan only conceded a wide in the first three balls and left Pollard chasing 12 runs off the last three balls. Pollard then got four and two to bring it down to 6 runs needed off the last ball but could only manage 4 to give Dubai Capitals a one-run win. 

Defending champions MI Emirates will be looking to set their record straight and get on the board with a win. While Dubai Capitals will be looking to consolidate themselves early at the top of the table by completing the season double over the defending champions.

98 - Nicholas Pooran needs 98 runs to reach 8,500 runs in T20s.

05 - Muhammad Waseem needs 5 runs to complete 3,000 runs in T20s.

03 - Kieron Pollard needs 3 sixes to complete 900 sixes in T20s.
