Team India (IND) have managed to seal another T20I series victory with an unassailable 3-1 lead after four matches in their T20I series against England (ENG).
It looked like the fourth T20I, in Pune, had decidedly been put in England's favour after Saqib Mahmood took a triple wicket maiden in the second over, but courtesy of Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya's fifties, the hosts clawed back into the game in the middle phases of the match.
England then replicated their bowling powerplay success with the bat as well, getting off to a start that put them on track to chase the total down. But they once again struggled against spin in the middle overs. Ravi Bishnoi along with debutant Harshit Rana, who controversially replaced a concussed Dube, and Varun Chakravarthy struck at regular intervals to derail the chase of the visitors. As a result, Harry Brook's fifty eventually went in vain.
India will carry their juggernaut to the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, which is much more likely to facilitate the aggressive batting approach that the side has committed itself to.
