The second T20I of India's series against England will be held in MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. India gained a 1-0 series lead in the first T20I against England played at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
India chose to bowl first on a good batting track and immediately reaped the rewards. Arshdeep Singh prised out both English openers in the powerplay and England never seemed to recover. Jos Buttler played a lone warrior innings, but it wasn't enough as nobody else gave him adequate support. India's spinners put the English middle order in a chokehold and they ended up with a below-par total.
India started strong in the powerplay but were dealt a blow when Jofra Archer took two wickets in an over. But then, Abhishek Sharma took over the show by making 79 off just 34 balls in an innings that included 8 sixes. Sharma led India to a win with more than seven overs to spare.

Despite an uncharacteristically slow start, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir recovered to post 136 in around 15 overs. The rest of the inning moved calmly until a fired-up Yuvraj Singh hit Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over in the last over of the innings. Yuvraj's 12-ball fifty is still the fastest for India in the format. Despite their best efforts, England eventually fell short of their mammoth target of 218.
