Team India registered an emphatic win in the first Test of the ongoing two-match series against Bangladesh. Both sides locked horns in the first Test of the series at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, in Chennai, on September 19. However, in registering the mammoth win, team India achieved a major milestone.
The win saw India end their 92-year wait since playing the longest format of having more Test wins than losses. The win at Chepauk was India’s 179th Test win out of the 580 matches. Over the years, India have lost 178 Test matches and drawn 222 matches, respectively.

Furthermore, team India will have the opportunity to improve their ratio when they take on Bangladesh in the second Test of the ongoing series. Both sides will now take on each other in Kanpur. The final game of the series will commence on September 27.
