Jason Behrendorff was the pick of the bowlers for Australia, returning with a spell of 1/12 in his four overs. Aaron Hardie had a day to forget, conceding 64 runs with a wicket to his name.
In response to India's challenging 222, Travis Head provided a good start with a quick-fire 35 off 18 balls. Glenn Maxwell then produced a sensational innings, scoring a century at a whopping strike rate of over 200, including eight fours and eight sixes. Maxwell's knock guided Australia to victory, with a cameo from Matthew Wade scoring 28 off 16 balls. In the end, Australia won the match by five wickets. Maxwell was awarded the Player of the Match award for his match-winning 104*(48).
