England bowlers dazzled on Day 2 limiting India to 219/7. Despite Jurel's unbeaten 30 and Kuldeep Yadav's patient 17, India face a challenging deficit with only three wickets remaining, trailing by 134. Early in the day, Ollie Robinson reached his maiden fifty in Test cricket before being dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja and was followed by Shoaib Bashir and James Anderson. Eventually, the visitors were bowled out for 353/10.
India started their first innings with the skipper losing his wicket early to James Anderson for just two. Shubman Gill and Jaiswal rescued the innings with an 82-run partnership for the second wicket. However, Gill was soon dismissed by Shoaib Bashir for 38 runs. After a small cameo from Rajat Patidar (17 runs off 42 balls), India lost wickets regularly and were left at 177/7. However, Kuldeep Yadav and Dhruv Jurel steadied the ship with an unbeaten partnership of 42 runs. Jurel remained unbeaten on 30 while Kuldeep was 17 at Stumps. India finished the day at 219/7.

5 - Joe Root remained not out for the fifth time after scoring a century against India in Tests, surpassing the previous record of four held by Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Garry Sobers.
