India vs New Zealand, 2nd T20I Stats Preview: Players records and approaching milestones

Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, and Mitchell Santner combined together as the New Zealanders finally got off the mark on this tour after defeating India by 21 runs in the first of the three T20 internationals at JSCA Stadium in Ranchi. Seamer Arshdeep Singh endured a tough night as he conceded 51 runs for just one wicket in four overs.

In reply, India’s top order failed with the first three batters Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, and Rahul Tripathi registering single-digit scores. Suryakumar Yadav and Washington Sundar scored 47 and 50 runs respectively but it wasn’t enough as Santner bowled a brilliant spell of 2/11 while Michael Bracewell and Lockie Ferguson also picked up two wickets each to clinch the game for the visitors. Hardik Pandya and his side would look to bounce back and level the series in Lucknow before the final game on February 01 in Ahmedabad.
