Lucknow Super Giants will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in match number ten of Indian Premier League 2023 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on 7th April, 2023.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are coming to the contest after a poor performance in the previous game, as they lost against Rajasthan Royals by a huge margin of 72 runs at their home ground in Hyderabad. SRH batters succumbed to the dominance of Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal as the duo shared 6 wickets among themselves while giving away just 38 runs in their combined spell of 8 overs. Mayank Agarwal and Abdul Samad were the only batters to cross the 20-run mark for SRH as the Orange Army looked flummoxed throughout the course of the game.

In the bowling department, Fazalhaq Farooqi and T Natarajan picked two wickets each. Farooqi was too expensive with an economy of 10.25 whereas Natarajan was comparatively on the lower side, squandering at an economy of 7.7. SRH would be happy with the return of Aiden Markram, who missed the first game due to national commitments. Markram is all set to lead SRH in the next game against LSG, probably at a time when SRH need a 360-degree turnaround after their dismal performance in their opening game. With the return of the skipper and his South African colleague Heinrich Klaasen, Sunrisers' batting looks formidable and they would look to bounce back the winning ways.

Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, will take the field after having won and lost apiece in the two games they played. Kyle Mayers has been the stand-out performer with the bat for LSG, aggregating 126 runs at an average of 63.00 and an eye-widening strike rate of 210.

Mayers also clinched the record of smashing the fastest fifty by an LSG batter in their second match against CSK; although his efforts went in vain as they lost the game by 12 runs, chasing a humongous target of 217. In the bowling department, Mark Wood has been lethal in both the matches played so far, picking up eight wickets in total at a phenomenal strike rate of 6. LSG would be welcoming the return of Quinton de Kock to their side and with Nicholas Pooran being in good touch for LSG, it would be a happy problem for the selectors to zero in on their four overseas players.
