Aiden Markram’s Sunrisers Hyderabad and Shikhar Dhawan’s Punjab Kings will meet in Match 14 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) in the Sunday double-header on April 9 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad had a poor start in IPL 2023 as they have played two matches and lost both. They faced a heavy loss against Rajasthan Royals in their opening fixture and then lost to Lucknow Super Giants in their previous game.
Abdul Samad was the only positive as far as batting performer for SRH as he aggregated 53 runs in two games at a strike rate of 126.19. In the bowling department, Fazalhaq Farooqi has picked three wickets in two games.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings had a good start in IPL 2023 so far, as they have played two matches and won both. They beat Kolkata Knight Riders in their opening fixture and continued winning momentum against Rajasthan Royals in their last game.
Shikhar Dhawan was the stand-out performer for PBKS as he aggregated 126 runs in two games at a staggering average of 126 and an impressive strike rate of 148.23. In the bowling department, Arshdeep Singh and Nathan Ellis have fared well so far. Both the pacers have five wickets from two matches so far.
