IPL 2024: Match 35, DC vs SRH IPL Records & Stats at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi
After playing two home games at Visakhapatnam, Delhi Capitals will be back playing at Delhi.
The coveted Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) clash now is between the team that broke their own record, one which they set earlier this season, for the highest team total in IPL history in their last match, and the team which in their latest match, inflicted the only all out below 100 on the opposition, at a stadium where no match has happened in the ongoing season of the cricket extravaganza.
Delhi Capitals (DC) will be hosting the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in what will be the first match in IPL 2024 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Delhi had earlier played two designated home matches at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, where they won and lost one match each.
In their last match, which was at Ahmedabad, DC skittled Gujarat Titans (GT) out for just 89 and chased down that target in less than 9 overs, which gave a significant boost to their NRR and helped them rise to 6th place on the points table.
Sunrisers Hyderabad who with four wins from six matches are 4th on the points table, broke their own record for the highest team total in IPL history at Bengaluru against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). SRH will be invigorated by that display and will hope to potentially put up something even further as Travis Head recently remarked.
Arun Jaitley Stadium Pitch Report
This is only the first game at this stadium in the IPL so it will be difficult to say how exactly the pitch will behave, but Delhi has generally been batting-friendly with a semblance of help for the bowlers and a two-paced nature. More will be known only after the match.

DC vs SRH Strategies & Match-ups
Very little has been done by any team in order to counter SRH's very destructive batting. Fascinatingly enough, the match which SRH lost against GT at Ahmedabad, was the only one where any team looked like they had answers to SRH's batting with some help from the pitch. But if the pitch is unhelpful to bowlers, DC's bowlers will have to produce something special in order to constrict SRH to a below-par total.

Player Battles to Watch Out For
Rishabh Pant vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Veteran swing king Bhuvneshwar Kumar is currently going through a torrid time in IPL 2024 picking up just 3 wickets from 6 matches with an average exceeding 83. Pant who has been dismissed once off SRH's most experienced bowler will fancy his chances as he has scored 79 runs at an average of 79 against Bhuvneshwar in just 33 balls with a strike rate of 239.39.

X-Factors for DC vs SRH
Delhi Capitals
Against the most aggressive batting lineup of this year's IPL, DC's bowling will need to shine through, and the most potent option to do that is Kuldeep Yadav who had a Man of the Match performance against LSG and bowled some tight lines despite being wicketless against GT.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Travis Head coming off scoring the fourth fastest hundred in IPL history will be the man SRH turn to for their aggressive needs at the start. He will especially need to counter the threat possibly being posed by Ishant Sharma and Mukesh Kumar as well.
