(Source -IPL) It was the revenge match from the IPL 2023 final as Gujarat Titans travelled to Chennai. The defending champions decided to dominate the proceedings and go after the Gujarat bowlers. Chennai Super Kings opener Rachin Ravindra and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad pulled out all the shots to demoralize the Titans bowling unit. Umesh Yadav, Azmatullah Omarzai, and even Rashid Khan were taken to the cleaners. CSK posted 69/1 from their 6 overs to stun the visitors and go on to post 205 runs. The assault comes in at number 4 for the highest powerplay score from the first ten games of IPL 2024. 3. The five-time IPL winners scored 76/2 from 6 overs to put the hosts under pressure. This is the third-highest powerplay score from the first ten games of IPL 2024. Ishan Kishan scored 34 runs from just 13 balls with 2 fours and four sixes. Rohit Sharma the former MI skipper scored 26 runs from just 12 balls with a four and 3 maximums to help his side stay in the game. 2. Sunrisers Hyderabad 81/1 vs Mumbai Indians SRH vs MI. (Source -IPL) The crazy hitting on Wednesday during the 8th game of the IPL 2024 season began with the Sunrisers Hyderabad side. Australian star Travis Head marked his SRH debut with a quick half-century. 81 overs were scored in the first 6 overs to make it the 2nd best powerplay score in the first 10 games of IPL 2024. Mayank Agarwal was out for 11 but Abhishek Sharma joined Travis Head to continue the party. When Agarwal fell the score read 45/1 from 4.1 overs, but the Head and Sharma pair added 36 runs in just 11 balls. 1. Kolkata Knight Riders 85/0 vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru RCB vs KKR. (Source -IPL) Virat Kohli scored his second successive half-century to help Royal Challengers Bengaluru reach 182 runs. Phil Salt scored 17 runs from the first over off Mohammed Siraj which saw 18 runs being scored. The 2nd over saw Yash Dayal concede 14 runs to make it 32/0 from 2 overs. The introduction of Alzarri Joseph didn’t change RCB’s fortune as 14 runs came off the 3rd over. The next two overs saw just 18 runs being scored before Sunil Narine decided to unleash carnage. The last over of the powerplay witnessed Yash Dayal give away 21 runs to make it 85/0 from 6 overs. This is now the highest powerplay score from the first ten games of the IPL 2024 season.
