It is always said that the T20 format isn’t favourable for the bowlers. If anything this year’s IPL 2024 season is a good case in point. The scoring this year has been heavy with the bowlers facing the ire of the blazing blades over the 70 games that was played.

One mustn’t forget the type of bowling that has been on display this season. Mitchell Starc the Australian speedster was brought for a whopping INR 24.75 Crores by Kolkata Knight Riders to show the world that the bowlers too are being appreciated in this format.

Despite all the heavy run-scoring that has taken place this year, few of the bowlers have stood up and found a way to pick wickets. If the first half of the season was batter dominated the second half saw the seamers and the tweakers take center-stage with the ball.

Here are the top ten bowlers from the league stage of IPL 2024:

10. Yash Dayal – Royal Challengers Bengaluru -3/10

The story of Yash Dayal and his redemption arc will forever go down as one of the best in IPL history. After being smashed for 30 runs in the previous edition, Yash Dayal found a new home in Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The defining moment came in the 68th game of the season versus CSK where he held his nerve and helped RCB win and make it to the playoffs. The 26-year-old played 13 games and picked 15 wickets with a best of 3/20 to silence the critics.

9. Arshdeep Singh – Punjab Kings – 3/10

Considered one of the best left-arm seamers in India currently, Arshdeep Singh had a topsy-turvy season in the IPL. The 25-year-old seamer played all 14 games this year and picked 19 wickets. Punjab Kings may have had a season to forget yet again but Arshdeep Singh has proved that he can shoulder the responsibility of being the lead pacer with ease and also keep taking wickets at regular intervals.
