8. Yuzvendra Chahal – Rajasthan Royals – 4/10
Just a few weeks before the start of IPL 2024, Yuzvendra Chahal was a hurt man. The 33-year-old had lost his contract with the Indian Cricket Team and his international future was looking bleak. Not one to give up though, Chahal used this as a motivation factor and began to dazzle with the ball. During the game against Mumbai Indians at home, Yuzvendra Chahal became the first bowler to reach the 200-wicket mark in the history of the league. These exploits ultimately earned him a place with the national side for the T20 World Cup and just like that Chahal was back where he belongs.
7. Tushar Deshpande – Chennai Super Kings -4/10
Chennai Super Kings has always been known as a complete team, it is not just because of the quality of batters and bowlers they have but also their ability to find heroes out of nowhere. The loss of Deepak Chahar, Mustafizur Rahman, and Matheesha Pathirana meant that the onus of getting wickets fell on the broad shoulders of Tushar Deshpande. The 29-year-old ended the season with 17 wickets from 13 games with a best of 4/27 and nearly carried CSK through to the playoffs.
