An unbeaten Delhi Capitals (DC) will travel to Chennai to take on currently struggling Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Match 17 of Indian Premier League 2025. This game will be a day game on a double-header day.
CSK won their opening game of the season, but have lost two matches in a row. In their last game, RR trumped over them in Guwahati. Nitish Rana went hammer and tongs in the powerplay, but the rest of RR's batting fizzled out. RR's total of 182 didn't look all that threatening, but Jofra Archer bowled three tight overs in the powerplay and Wanindu Hasaranga set off a middle order collapse. Ruturaj Gaikwad stood tall through the damage, but his dismissal pretty much sealed it for RR. MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja elicited hope, but RR got home by 6 runs.
DC had an easier time against SRH. Mitchell Starc wrecked the Orange Army in the powerplay and Kuldeep Yadav got the job done in the middle overs. Aniket Verma displayed his best six-hitting ability to somehow steer the score through the collapse, but Starc returned at the death to complete his fifer. Faf du Plessis' rapid fifty made the chase much easier for DC.

The surface as always will be expected to be slow and aiding spinners. But that doesn't mean it is immune from high total every once in a while.
