Delhi Capitals made it two wins from two matches in IPL 2025 by brushing aside Sunrisers Hyderabad in Visakhapatnam.

SRH's batting misfired for two matches in a row as Mitchell Starc (5/35) struck in the powerplay. Aniket Verma (74 off 41) showed what he was truly capable of by marshaling the collapse and being aggressive enough along the way. Kuldeep Yadav (3/22) put more pressure on in the middle overs and Starc came back to complete his fifer.

DC's chase got off to a flier with Faf du Plessis (50 off 27) reducing the result to a formality. The other batters did support him, but Zeeshan Ansari (3/42) still managed to deliver a scare to a chase that was done in 16 overs.

Here are the most important numbers from the match

2 - Mitchell Starc is the second bowler ever to take an IPL fifer for Delhi Capitals. The first was Amit Mishra all the way back in 2008. Starc's figures hence, are also the second best by a DC bowler in the IPL.

8 - Starc's fifer was the eighth against SRH in the IPL. No other team has had even five fifers taken against them in the league.

2 - Starc's fifer was the second most expensive in the IPL. Yuzvendra Chahal took figures of 5/40 against KKR in 2022.

5 - Faf du Plessis is the fifth batsman to make an IPL fifty after the age of 40. He was preceded by Rahul Dravid, Adam Gilchrist, Chris Gayle and MS Dhoni.

6 - du Plessis is also the sixth oldest player to make an IPL fifty. Gilchrist is the oldest, followed by three appearances for Chris Gayle and then one for Dhoni before the DC vice-captain.

1 - Zeeshan Ansari's figures of 3/42 are the best by any bowler in their first IPL match for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
