IPL 2025: RCB vs DC Stats & Records at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru

Having won three of their four matches so far, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will host the only unbeaten side of the IPL 2025 – the Delhi Capitals (DC). 

Both teams won their most recent match and are placed in the top three of the points table. RCB triumphed over MI in a see-sawing contest in Mumbai. The visitors kept the attack going, unperturbed by the fall of an early wicket. Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal set up a platform that was later supported by a fifty from Rajat Patidar and a quick cameo from Jitesh Sharma. RCB's bowlers started very well in the early overs, taking crucial wickets and keeping the run rate in check, inspired by a slowdown from Suyash Sharma. 

MI needed 123 off the last eight overs, but Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma were up for the challenge. The two displayed amazing hitting range to bring the equation closer but were dismissed at inopportune moments. While MI carried hope into the final over, Krunal Pandya's 3-wicket burst sealed the deal. 

DC easily brushed past CSK in their last game. On a slow Chepauk surface, KL Rahul's fifty took DC to a competitive total. DC's bowlers then fired on all cylinders to have half of CSK's side back in the hut by the halfway mark. MS Dhoni and Vijay Shankar then, rather controversially, decided to mitigate the loss margin rather than go for the win.

2. Faf du Plessis vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar 

RCB's former skipper has maintained an impressive record against the powerplay specialist. Faf du Plessis has scored 105 runs off 70 balls against Bhuvneshwar Kumar at a strike rate of 150, having been dismissed only once.
