The sixth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was held at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati, the second home of Rajasthan Royals (RR). Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the toss and opted to bowl first, aiming to analyze the fresh wicket and gain an upper hand over the opposition.
Rajasthan Royals' batters started with an aggressive intent, putting up 54 runs for the loss of one wicket in the powerplay. However, their momentum was short-lived as KKR bowlers struck in quick succession, dismantling RR’s middle order. Varun Chakravarthy was the standout performer with the ball, claiming two wickets while conceding just 17 runs. Moeen Ali complemented him well, also picking up two wickets for 23 runs.
By the 11th over, RR found themselves struggling at 82 for 5. Despite the setbacks, Dhruv Jurel's valuable 33-run knock and Jofra Archer’s late fireworks, which included a couple of sixes, helped RR reach a respectable total of 151/9 by the end of 20 overs.
