IPL 2025: RR vs LSG Stats & Records at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur

Two teams with opposite runs in Indian Premier League 2025 will take each other on as the tournament nears its halfway point. Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants have both played seven matches so far, but the latter have won twice as many games as the former. LSG are fifth on the points table while RR are eighth. 

LSG are coming off a loss to CSK at home. No batter other than Rishabh Pant got going and LSG finished with a below par total. CSK's start was quite slow, but Rachin Ravindra kept the top order going. Shivam Dube took his own time to get going, but MS Dhoni arrived to the party in style and took CSK home. 

RR though, went down to DC in a thriller that extended beyond regulation time. Abishek Porel and KL Rahul's steady starts allowed Tristan Stubbs and Axar Patel's cameos to take DC to what seemed like a middling total. Yahsasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson started off an amazing partnership, but the latter had to retire hurt and that put the brakes on RR. Nitish Rana breathed life into the match, but out came Mitchell Starc. Starc overcame a poor powerplay to take out Rana and bowl a very restrictive spell at the death that took the match to a tie. 

Starc came back to bowl the super over, but RR lost both their wickets to runouts and set DC 12 in the one-over eliminator. KL Rahul got seven off the first three balls of the super over bowled by Sandeep Sharma and Tristan Stubbs sent a slower bouncer into the stands as DC won the IPL's first Super Over since 2021.
