Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will host Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in a rare single-header Sunday in IPL 2025.

SRH put up a record total in their fseason-opener at this venue but proceeded to lose the next three. In their last game against KKR, the SRH outfit succumbed to a one-sided loss. SRH got on top in the powerplay with the ball, but KKR recovered well with Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi's partnerships.

All-rounder Venkatesh Iyer then exploded at the death to take the hosts to the 200-run mark. SRH's chase never got going as Vaibhav Arora's powerplay strikes put them on the backfoot. Everytime SRH tried to get back into the game, KKR bowlers struck and eventually, the hosts succumbed to their worst loss - by 80 runs - in IPL history.

Gujarat Titans shook off a loss in their opening game to register two consecutive wins. GT romped home against RCB in by eight wickets their last game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

GT pacer Mohammed Siraj made the best use of bowler friendly conditions to get ahead of the game in the powerplay itself, but Jitesh Sharma, Liam Livingstone and Tim David made contributions to take RCB to a respectable 169. GT's start was slow, but Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford picked up speed after Sai Sudharsan gave them the platform to pull off the chase.

There is no reasons to think that the nature of the surface will change from its run-heavy infamy. SRH's slam-bang approach has come under the scanner, but a high total will be on the cards.
