Left-arm wrist spin sensation Kuldeep Yadav, hailing from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh was born on 14^th December 1994. Kuldeep made his ODI debut against West Indies in Queen’s Park Oval in 2017. In 90 ODIs, Kuldeep has picked 152 wickets at an impressive average of 25.62, striking at almost 30. He was the leading wicket-taker for India in the u19 World Cup 2014, with an impressive hat trick too.

His eye-catching performance came in the Duleep Trophy 2016 as he ended the tournament with 17 wickets in five innings, becoming the leading wicket-taker in the season. He came into the spotlight when he took a hat trick against Australia in 2017 in ODIs. He paired with Chahal in that period, the duo was the force to reckon with India as they caught the eyes of selectors over Ashwin and Jadeja with scintillating performances. 

Kuldeep Yadav had a mediocre World Cup in 2019 as he ended the tournament with six wickets in seven games. Due to a dip in performance, he was in and out of the side. He was being criticized for not bowling at a good pace as batters were able to play him easily. He responded to the critics with a mind-boggling bowling display since 2022 and has taken 45 wickets in 24 innings at an average of 19.15. Only Mohammed Siraj has more wickets than Kuldeep in this period.

He had the best of the Asia Cup as he took a four-fer against Sri Lanka and a five-fer against Pakistan. Kuldeep was also awarded the player of the series in Asia Cup 2023. Kuldeep holds the key for India in the World Cup as they wish to taste the third ODI World Cup Success. Kuldeep is the second-fastest Indian to take 150 wickets in ODIs as he achieved this feat in 88 matches.
