Pakistan (PAK) and the Netherlands (NED) will play their first match in the 2023 ODI World Cup on October 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. 

Pakistan will come into the contest after a 14-run loss to Australia in a warm-up match at the same venue. Iftikhar Ahmed (83), Babar Azam (90), and Mohammad Nawaz (50) were the stars with the bat, while Usama Mir picked up two wickets, and Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Haris Rauf all bagged one wicket each. Pakistan will be looking to win this match and get off to a good start in the tournament. 

The Netherlands' two warm-up matches were interrupted by rain, with the first ending in a no result and the second abandoned without a toss. Max O'Dowd and Vikramjit Singh, who have aggregated 503 and 441 runs in ODIs in 2023 each, and Bas de Leede and Logan van Beek, who have picked up 15 and 12 wickets respectively, and will be key players for the Netherlands in their upcoming match against Pakistan. However, the Netherlands will be looking to give Pakistan a strong fight and win the match. Pakistan will be the favourites to win this match, but the Netherlands will put them to the test
