England (ENG) and Sri Lanka (SL) will face off in the 25th Match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on October 26, 2023 

Sri Lanka come into the contest against England after a morale-boosting win over the Netherlands by 5 wickets. Batting first, the Netherlands were bowled out for 261, with Dilshan Madushanka and Kasun Rajitha taking four wickets each. In response, Sadeera Samarawickrama scored an unbeaten 91, while Pathum Nissanka (54), Charith Asalanka (44), and Dhananjaya de Silva (30) all made valuable contributions to help Sri Lanka over the line. Sri Lanka have won one game out of four so far, and are currently placed eighth in the points table with a net run rate of -1.048. However, they will be looking to build on their recent victory and get a win against England to boost their chances of qualifying for the semifinals 

England come into the contest against Sri Lanka after a heavy 229-run defeat to South Africa in their previous game.
