Pakistan and Afghanistan are all set to lock horns in Match 4 of the Super 4 round in the Asia Cup 2022 on Wednesday, September 7, at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Both sides have won two matches each and lost one each in the tournament and will be up against each other for the first time. It is a must-win game for Afghanistan who have lost their opening game of Super 4 against Sri Lanka.

Pakistan, who last won the Asia Cup title in 2012, are coming after two consecutive victories, against Hong Kong and arch-rivals India. Having started the tournament with two straight wins, Afghanistan suffered a defeat against Sri Lanka with Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s brilliant innings of 84 going in vain. Nabi and his side would now want to seal a win in a do-or-die encounter.
