South Africa, the only unbeaten team in the T20 World Cup 2022, lock horns with Pakistan in Match 36 of the T20 World Cup 2022 on November 3 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The Proteas have played three matches and won two with the match against Zimbabwe ending up in no result. On the other hand, after facing defeats to India and Zimbabwe in their first two games, Pakistan returned to winning ways against the Netherlands.

Pakistan’s neighbors India are topping the table with six points while South Africa occupy the second position with five points. Pakistan are in the fifth spot with just a solitary win in the campaign. Speaking about the Proteas, barring their skipper Temba Bavuma, all the other batters are looking in good touch with Quinton de Kock being the leading run-scorer so far for them with 111 runs. Bavuma’s form is a serious cause of concern for the Rainbow Nation as he has managed to score only 14 runs in three outings.

His opposition number Babar Azam is too under the pressure for not being amongst the runs as he has amassed only eight runs so far. All eyes will be on both captains from a batting perspective as they look to hit the form. A win here for South Africa would almost seal their place in the semi-final even before their final clash with the Netherlands. Pakistan need to beat Bavuma’s side and Bangladesh and then hope for other results to go their way for a place in the final four.
