Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will travel to Mohali as they face Punjab Kings (PBKS) for the second time in match number 38 of Indian Premier League 2023 at IS Bindra Stadium on 28th April 2023.

Punjab Kings will be coming into the contest, after defeating MI by a comfortable 13-run margin courtesy of sublime hitting from Sam Curran and a lethal bowling display from Arshdeep Singh. With four wins in seven games, they are placed at sixth position in the points table due to poor net run rate compared to other teams. Liam Livingstone has made a comeback to the squad, but he is yet to make a mark. Arshdeep Singh has been in contention for the IPL Purple Cap with 13 wickets in as many as seven games. PBKS defeated LSG by 2 wickets in their last meeting.

Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, will be coming into the contest after being defeated by Gujarat Titans in their last game. They lost the game from the position where no teams could afford to lose. They needed 29 runs to win in 33 balls with 8 wickets in hand, but below-par batting from KL Rahul led to major collapse and eventually LSG lost the match by seven runs.  With four wins out of seven games, they are placed at fourth position in the table. KL Rahul has aggregated 262 runs in seven games at an average of 37.43, while Mark Wood has picked up 11 wickets in four games. LSG would seek improved performances in both the department and look to bounce back the winning ways.
