RCB vs MI, IPL 2023: Records and Stats at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore

Two high-intense teams of the Indian Premier League, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will meet each other in the fifth match of the Indian Premier League 2023 on April 2, 2023, at the famous M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Mumbai Indians are one of the most consistent teams as far as IPL is concerned with five titles to their name. MI had a bad season to remember both in 2021 and 2022 as they did not progress to the playoffs on both occasions.

They have roped in Cameron Green for the 2023 edition at a very expensive amount to bring balance to both departments. Mumbai will be missing the services of their bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah due to injury but would be happy with the return of Jofra Archer. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, had a very good last three seasons where they reached playoffs on all three occasions, but couldn’t progress to finals in any one of those.

Michael Bracewell has been roped in as a replacement for injured Will Jacks, which has added good balance in both departments for RCB. The Faf-led RCB will miss the services of their key pacer, Josh Hazlewood for a few games due to injury.

Their wicket-taking leggie Wanindu Hasaranga will miss the first few matches due to national commitments. RCB would look to start the tournament on high, with the balance they have in their squad.
