Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in match 9 of IPL 2024 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on March 28, 2024. In the ongoing tournament, Rajasthan Royals have won the first match of IPL 2024 at their home ground. RR would like to continue their winning momentum. On the other hand, DC lost their opening match against PBKS.
The Sanju Samson-led RR began their 2024 campaign with a victory over Lucknow Super Giants by a margin of 20 runs at their home ground in at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur Royals will be hoping to continue their winning momentum in the ongoing tournament in front of their home crowd.
Speaking about the first game of the Royals, skipper Sanju Samson 82*(52) played a fantastic captain's knock, leading the team from the front. Along with him, Riyan Parag who came to the IPL after a magnificent domestic season also played superbly 43(29) and formed an important patnership of 93 runs off just 59 deliveries which helped the Royals to post an above par score of 193 on the challenging two paced pitch. The Royals will hope that these two continue their good form.
On the other hand, The Rishabh Pant-led DC began their 2024 campaign with disappointment as they lost against Punjab Kings (PBKS) by a margin of four wickets at Mullanpur. Speaking about the first game of the Capitals, after the early collapse, Abhishek Porel 32*(10) came as an Impact Player and played an Impactfull knock whici helped Capitals to post the good total of 174. Kuldeep Yadav (4-0-20-2) bowled a super spell which helped Capitals to drag the game till final over. Capitals will be hoping that these two continue their good form and a good start from top-order and also good support from bowlers.
