Sri Lanka (SL) will take on India (IND) in the 3rd ODI of the ongoing tour on Wednesday, August 07, at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Sri Lanka won the second match of the series which ended dramatically, where at one stage the Indians were looking comfortable to win the game. For India, Skipper Rohit Sharma 64(44) played magnificent innings which gave a solid start to India. India was looking very comfortable to win the match but India lost Rohit Sharma's wicket at the wrong time. In the end, Axar Patel 44(44) played good innings and tried to take the team over the victory line. But he didn't get support from any other batter and India lost his wicket, losing the encounter by 32 Runs.
Speaking about the bowling of India, Washington Sundar (10-1-30-3) bowled beautifully which helped India to restrict Sri Lanka to a decent total. Kuldeep Yadav (10-1-33-2) bowled superbly and gave excellent support to Washington Sundar. India also got good support from other bowlers, as a result, they restricted Sri Lanka to a total of 240. Indians will be hoping all these will continue their good form and also get good support and contribution from middle-order batters. India would also like to draw the series and keep their streak alive which they maintained for 27 years.
