Australia’s go-to batter Steve Smith carried his red-hot form in the ongoing BBL by smashing three consecutive 50+ scores, which consists of two hundreds and a half-century.

The right-handed batter went crazy in Match 50 against the Sydney Thunder as he took the bowlers to the cleaners. He smashed a century in 56 balls with five fours and nine maximums helping Sixers post a huge total of 187/2 in 19 overs, eventually winning the match by massive margin of 125 runs.

Steve Smith previously displayed the same kind of performance against the Strikers where he smashed 101 runs from 56 balls with five fours and seven sixes helping Sixers win by a margin of 59 runs.

Against the Hurricanes, Smith smashed 66 runs of 33 balls at a blistering strike rate of 200 with four fours and six maximums. With the T20 world Cup next year and Aaron Finch's uncertain future, Steve Smith, with these kind of performances, could be one of the main contenders to open the innings for Australia.
