Yashasvi Jaiswal's phenomenal double century, marked by seven sixes and 19 fours, steered India to a commanding 396/10 at the end of their first innings against England. Early in the game India won the toss and elected to bat at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.

Right from the start, Yashasvi Jaiswal took control of the innings, displaying a dominant performance all around the ground. He exhibited ruthlessness against the England spinners spectacular display propelled India to a formidable total of 396 for 10. Apart from Jaiswal's outstanding contribution, Shubman Gill (34) and Rajat Patidar (32) were the only other batters who managed to cross thirty-plus mark. Jaiswal's innings not only showcased his exceptional skills but also played a pivotal role in India's commanding position.

The youngest Indian to achieve the feat was Vinod Kambli, who accomplished it at the age of 21 years and 32 days against England at Wankhede in 1993. The second is Sunil Gavaskar against the West Indies in Port of Spain in 1971 (21 years and 277 days).
 
4 - Jaiswal became the fourth Indian player to score Test centuries both at home and away before turning 23. He joined the elite company of Ravi Shastri, Sachin Tendulkar, and Vinod Kambli in achieving this feat.

2 - Jaiswal smashed seven sixes, jointly second-most by an Indian batter in a Test innings. He shares this record with Harbhajan Singh, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, and Virender Sehwag. Only Navjot Sidhu and Mayank Agarwal have hit more sixes, having smashed eight sixes each.
