Suryakumar Yadav, one of the most fearless and destructive T20 batters in the world right now, was born on September 14, 1990, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Nicknamed ‘SKY’, he has been ruling the shortest international format ever since making his debut in March 2021. The right-handed batter got selected for team India after grabbing the limelight for his stellar performances for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.

As mentioned, he made his maiden international appearance in a T20I against England two and half years back in Ahmedabad. He did not get a chance to bat in that fixture but did cement his place in the T20 setup. In July 2021, SKY made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in Colombo (RPS). The right-handed batter kept on delivering in the 20-over but didn't fetch the same success in one-day internationals.

The explosive middle-order batter averages 46.02 with three centuries and 15 half-centuries in T20Is. The same rhythm looked missing from his game until the recently concluded Australia series just before the start of the ongoing World Cup. It seemed like SKY finally found his T20 mojo as he slammed 50 off 49 in the first and 72* off just 37 in the second match of the series.
