Afghanistan (AFG) will take on India (IND) in Match 43, Super 8 of the ongoing T20 World Cup on Thursday, June 20, at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, in Barbados. Notably, both sides met for a 20-20 game just five months years ago at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium Bengaluru in the Afghanistan tour of India where the match was tied and two super overs were played and India won the super over.

In the ongoing tournament, India is unbeaten in the tournaments and has won three matches. They qualified as the top team of Group A. Thus, India would like to continue their winning momentum. On the other hand, Afghanistan has won three matches and lost one match so far in this tournament. They qualified as the second team of Group C. Thus, Afghanistan would like to get back to its winning momentum.

Speaking about the last game of Afghanistan, they had a poor outing with a bat in the previous game where Ibrahim Zadran 38(28) was the top scorer for them but Afghanistan was bundled out for just 114 chasing a huge target of 219 against West Indies.

Speaking about the bowling of Afghanistan, Gulbadin Naib (2-0-14-2) bowled magnificently which helped Afghanistan to restrict West Indies to 218 where they were looking to score more than that at one stage. Noor Ahmed (4-0-20-0) was economical but was unable to pick up the wickets. All other bowlers of Afghanistan were expensive as a result West Indies posted a huge total. Afghanistan will be hoping all these will continue their good form and good support from their batters and also good support from their bowlers. Speaking about the last game of India, unfortunately, the last game of India was abandoned because of rain.
