Star India player Virat Kohli, one of the greatest batters the world cricket has ever produced, was born on November 05^th, 1988 in the capital city of India, Delhi. The modern-day great, who is also considered a part of the Fab 4 generation with Kane Williamson, Steven Smith, and Joe Root, came into the limelight when he led India to a U-19 World Cup victory in Kuala Lumpur in the year 2008.

Notably, he became part of the title-winning team in that marquee tournament in which MS Dhoni and his men defeated the Lankan Lions in the finals.

He then took the cricketing world by storm by slamming a breathtaking 133* off just 86 against Sri Lanka in Hobart in a Tri-Series in 2012. Kohli then just began to rule the game by delivering consistent performances across formats. Notably, he also won the Champions Trophy with his side in England in 2013 as he bagged his third ICC title. Today, at 35, he has become one of the legends of the game and the finest player India has ever produced after greats like Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, and Sachin Tendulkar. The Delhi-born has hammered the joint most ODI centuries (49) with Tendulkar’s (49). In terms of scoring runs, he occupies the third position (13677) after legendary players like Tendulkar (18426) and Ricky Ponting (13704).
