India and West Indies will face off for the fifth time in the ongoing T20I series on Sunday, August 13, at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida. The match will be played at the same venue that hosted the fourth T20I.
India will come into the contest on the back of two successive wins from the last two T20I games. Yashasvi Jaiswal was the star of the show in the last match, scoring 84* to help India chase down the 178-run target and win the match. He also became the fifth-youngest Indian to win the Player of the Match award in T20Is.
Tilak Varma has also been in good form in his debut series, scoring 146 runs in four matches at a strike rate of 139.04. In the bowling department, Kuldeep Yadav and Arshdeep Singh have both picked up six wickets each, while Yuzvendra Chahal has taken five wickets. India will be hoping that their bowlers can continue their good form in the final match and help them clinch the series victory.
West Indies, on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back after two successive losses. Nicholas Pooran has been their best batter in the series, scoring 129 runs at a strike rate of 144.94. Skipper Rovman Powell has also been in good form, scoring 110 runs at a strike rate of 150.68.
In the bowling department, Romario Shepherd has been the pick of the bowlers, picking up five wickets. Alzarri Joseph missed the last match, but he will be hoping to return and make an impact in the final match. West Indies will need to bowl well and restrict India to a low score if they want to win the series.
