The former cricketers and teammates have poured in their wishes for the Australian opener David Warner who is celebrating his 31st birthday on Friday. The left-hander is currently busy playing the first round of the Sheffield Shield season and is representing New South Wales. He has already celebrated his birthday by scoring 83 runs while opening the batting against South Australia. He also smashed 8 boundaries in his impressive knock.
Warner is getting ready for the all-important and prestigious Ashes series against England which is all set to commence on November 23 in Brisbane at the Gabba. He could not make much of an impact in the recently concluded limited overs tour to India. The little man scored a century in Bengaluru and most importantly Australia won on the back of it. But apart from that knock he didn’t stamp his authority and was repeatedly troubled by his IPL teammate, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Warner’s love for India
David Warner loves the Indian culture and has often expressed his pleasure being in the country. In 2017, he has spent a lot of time in India courtesy the Test series, IPL and the limited overs series. He had also posted a picture of saluting the Indian fans for all the love and support on social media website Instagram after the conclusion of the T20 International series earlier this month. Similarly, he holds a great bonding with some of the Indian cricketers and is friends with many of them.
Even Shikhar Dhawan, his opening partner at Sunrisers Hyderabad wished him on his special day. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar posted a picture of his trademark celebration after scoring a century and wished him. However, his wife Candice Warner wished him in a unique way by collaborating all the pictures of the family and termed him as a ‘wonderful man’. Naturally, the swashbuckling opener loved the way his wife wished him and was extremely pleased. Also, many others wished the cricketer which must have surely made his day.
Here’s how cricketing world wished David Warner on his special day:
