Cricketing fraternity wishes Salman Khan on his 53rd birthday

The Indian film industry has been a witness to several stars emerging through the years. From the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, to Dharmendra and many others, a number of massive names have graced their presence on the silver screen. The fraternity was blessed with another actor in the form of Salman Khan on December 27, 1965- the veteran actor’s birthdate.

He can set the box-office on fire and his movies turn out to be blockbusters. Movie halls remain jam-packed and the same is a testament to his incredible fan-following. He is the son of Salim Khan and forayed into Bollywood in the movie Biwi Ho To Aisi in 1988 where he played a supporting role. A year later in 1989, he played the lead role in the movie Maine Pyar Kia.

A glorious career for Salman Khan

Thereafter, he only grew in stature as an actor and never looked back, having worked in films like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1990), Karan Arjun (1995) and many others. However, it was only after 2010 when his stardom leapfrogged to a new level altogether. He became unstoppable as he worked in movies like Dabangg, Ready and Ek Tha Tiger, which set the box-office ablaze.

This year, he acted in the action-thriller Race 3, which didn’t quite do well, but still managed to garner a substantial amount. Apart from his stupendous career in acting, he hadn’t flattered to deceive in Television shows as well. The 53-year-old is currently the host of Bigg Boss Season 12, a show aired on Colors, featuring a number of renowned personalities from different fields.

Salman is celebrating his birthday today and on the auspicious occasion, he has been showered with wishes and appreciations from every nook and corner of the world. Even the cricketers wished Salman Khan on his birthday. Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan also took some time out to leave a message for the actor on Twitter.
