The trends on Twitter began a very unfortunate note as Pakistan today suffered a huge tragedy after a passenger plane carrying 47 people on board crashed. So far, 42 people have been announced dead including one of the country’s best-known musicians, pop star, actor and TV presenter Junaid Jamshed. The entire country has come together including the likes of Kamran Akmal, Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi who offered condolences.

On the other side, Parthiv Patel was proud of his Gujarat teammates Priyanka Panchal and appreciated the youngster’s efforts. VVS Laxman was at the Cricket Country office and spent time discussing cricket with journalists. South African Faf du Plessis had a wonderful day at the sea surfing. Mathew Hayden also at the beach and enjoying his favourite lager. But, a sense of emptiness filled his mind as he missed his mates.

While Du Plessis and Haydo spent time at the sea, Shane Warne had a strenuous workout and left the gym with pink cheeks and energised. Darren Sammy looked highly motivated and Chris Gayle met with his little fan. Mitchell McClenaghan felt nostalgic and was grateful for whatever he has in his life. Jason Gillespie published his own writing today and was seeking feedback for it.
