Cricketing trends in Twitter today

Cyclone Vardah and the upcoming Chennai Test were one of the biggest trending topics on Twitter among cricketers. Team India and England is currently in Chennai for the fifth and the final Test of the Anthony De Mello trophy. But, practice couldn’t take place and they have been forced to live without internet and network due to the cyclone.

The India boys weren’t affected though. The BCCI shared a photo of the Indian team enjoying Fifa during their spare time. Anil Kumble and Virender Sehwag expressed their sadness after watching the aftermath of the calamity while Nasser Hussain found TNCA groundsmen preparing the pitch with the unique charcoal method.

Anjum Chopra, the legend of the Indian women’s cricket, congratulated White ferns all-rounder Suzie Bates and other winners of the International Cricket Council (ICC) awards for Women’s cricketers.

Based on the performances between 14 September 2015 and 20 September 2016 in the last 12 months, Bates scored 472 runs in eight ODIs while taking eight wickets with a strike-rate of 22.50 and economy-rate of 3.75.
