The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Former England cricketer Marcus Trescothick has left Somerset after serving them for three decades. The southpaw was a crucial member of the Brits and scored a century in the famous Natwest Trophy final at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. On March 1, Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistan cricketer, celebrated his birthday and on the auspicious occasion, he was showered with wishes from the cricket fraternity.
Afghanistan all-rounder Samiullah Shinwari also wished for Afridi on the occasion. Afridi is currently playing for the Multan Sultans in the 2021 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Sandeep Lamichhane, the Nepal leg-spinner, reckons that one should keep improving. The youngster recently played for the Hobart Hurricanes in the 2020-21 edition of the Big Bash League (BBL). South Africa’s Marrizanne Kapp enjoyed her time in quarantine.
Ravi Shastri, the head coach of the Indian team, got vaccinated for COVID-19 and he was over the moon after the development. Team India is currently busy playing in the four-match series against England that they are leading by 2-1.
Fabian Allen, the West Indies cricketer, posted a picture where he can be seen, diving around and practising hard. Bangladesh’s Mahmudullah Riyad posted a picture where he was enjoying the greenery. Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan posted a picture with Shreyas Iyer and was happy to be back with the Indian team.
