Cricketing Trends on Social Media Today
Here is what the cricketing community was talking about in the last 24 hours.
The Ashes fever is back and as expected, quite a few cricketing trends revolved around the ongoing game. David Warner was involved in a controversial dismissal. While there seemed to be a clear gap between the bat and the ball to the naked eye, the ultra edge suggested otherwise. Thus, there were questions raised about the technology. The likes of Ryan Harris, Michael Vaughan and Mark Waugh felt that there was a gap. Aaron Finch, on the other hand, termed the umpiring a joke.
Some of the other trends revolved around Pakistan cricket. Azhar Ali congratulated Babar Azam after the latter was appointed the vice-captain of the team. Ramiz Raja didn’t seem to happy about cricketers deciding to leave red-ball cricket for white-ball cricket. Waqar Younis tweeted that he is looking forward to the stint as the bowling coach of the team. Also, Shane Warne turned 50 today. Ajinkya Rahane, Kuldeep Yadav and Vaughan wished him. The former leg-spinner also put up a short video on Instagram where he thanked everyone for their kind wishes.
